I've found a jacket!

I've been shopping again with my limited funds and found a great buy. I've wanted a spring jacket to wear with jeans or dress up with black trousers and I found one at Atlantic Villiage of all places. This is a shopping mall which is full of terribly down market shops and low high street stores. SO, why did I go here??? Well Mum and I fancied a day out and saw shoppinng at Atlantic Villiage as a challenge. Our challenge was to find something we needed and loved and was a bargin.

When I shop in places like this I keep in mind what's on my current wish list. At the moment it's a trendy jacket and skirt, a black or gray merino sweater and some dangly earring. Whilst I walk around any store I keep this in mind so I can stay focused in the most desperate of shopping trips.

I searched the store for a nice sweater but they were cheap and nasty material or granny wooly jumpers. There were no nice skirts, these are very hard to find and the only jewellers was quite expensive. Then just as I was wanting to go home I spotted a ladies occasion wear store. From the outside it looked like it was full of those mother of the bride type suits that women wear, and it was! But all the clothes were very well made and where there are suits there are jackets, so I thought it was worth a look.

I had to stay focused. I wanted a jacket. Good quality fabric in a fun colour and well cut so it doesn't bunch up anywhere. I found one which look nice on the hanger and was a nazy and white wool mix cropped jacket for around £50 but when I put it on it was a bad fit at the back. I was about to give up when I spotted a rail at the back in the sale which had to be worth a look at (you never know!) Most of the jackets were frumpy or dull colours, then I found a classic. A size 10, pretty spring green, really cute cropped cut and £139!!! But wait it's in the sale so it was for some strange reason reduced to £19!!!!!!! I bought it.

It was a perfect fit. The shop assistant tryed to get me to buy a matching skirt (eek) but I was not falling for this. I wanted a smart jacket that would look sassy with jeans NOT a green grannie suit I could wear to my daughters wedding with matching assessories!!! This jacket was in a lovely fabric and will look uber cool and sophisticated with dark jeans or black trousers. Also I could wear it with light trousers to my friends wedding this summer. I hope this jacket will become my staple trendy jacket/blazer at least for spring/summer. I may not be able to wear it in bad weather as it's dry clean only and I wouldn't want it to get wet. The lining is lovely too which is probably why it was originally £139.

I thought to myself I probably wouldn't have bought it at the original prise as I don't have that sought of money but I would have gone for it at half prise. £19 for the cutest jacket ever made, what a find!
